Phillip Dale Combest, 78
Phillip Dale Combest, 78, of Russell Springs, died Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset after a long battle with cancer.
He was born August 26, 1941 in Creelsboro to Philip and Ruth Bledsoe Combest, both of whom preceded him in death. Phillip managed an insurance services and inspection firm before starting his own regional firm, Philco Reports, which he owned and operated in Cincinnati until his retirement and return to Russell Springs to live.
He is survived by; three sons Phillip Alan (Heather) Combest of Irvine, Calif, Paul David (Angela) Combest of Parker, Colo, Michael Dale (Pinky) Combest of Shanghai, China; one daughter Julie Marie (Jimmy) Farthing of Liberty Township, Ohio; four grandchildren Tessa and Spencer Farthing and Jacob and Carson Combest; four sisters survive: Glenda (Danny) Coffey of Jamestown, Betty (Lynn) Wheat and Nancy (Steve) Shepard of Russell Springs, and LaDonna Cooper of Liberty. Along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends, he is survived by his favorite aunt, Maxine Bledsoe, widow of his favorite uncle, Allen Bledsoe. Phillip chose cremation, with his remains in the Sydney Campbell Family Cemetery.
All services are private, with Bernard Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
